Our Story
Potty With Purpose™ was created by Cassie Dollard—Pediatric Nurse, first-time mom, and advocate for early elimination communication (EC). After introducing the potty to her daughter at seven months old, Cassie witnessed firsthand how gentle exposure, predictable routines, and communication cues could transform toileting from a stressful milestone into a natural, enjoyable part of daily life.
Drawing from pediatric nursing experience and evidence-based developmental concepts, Cassie developed the Purposeful Potty (PP) Method™, a modern, low-pressure approach that introduces toileting during infancy when babies are most receptive, curious, and motivated by routine—not performance.
While Western culture shifted potty training later into toddlerhood—often leading to resistance, power struggles, and frustration—many cultures around the world still introduce potty learning from birth through simple exposure and consistent caregiving. Cassie’s mission is to bring that practicality back into modern parenting, without rigidity or perfectionism.
At Potty With Purpose™, we believe:
✓ Toileting is a communication skill
✓ Early exposure builds comfort and familiarity
✓ Participation matters more than “catches”
✓ Resistance is prevented, not battled
✓ Parents deserve tools, not pressure
Through guides, educational reels, visual resources, and supportive messaging, Cassie aims to normalize early toileting as a gentle, connected routine that aligns with infant development—not as a stressful test of toddler independence.
The goal is simple:
Empower parents, support babies, and make toileting feel like a normal part of caregiving again.
